Future of Marketing Work: a brand and website for a three-way event

  • 8 weeks

from first brief to brand, website and print

  • 3

    partner organisations under one brand

  • 2 days

of programme designed across web, print and screen

A brand, website and print system for a collaboration between academia, industry and the AI community, delivered in an eight-week sprint.

Where it started

The Future of Marketing Work was a two-day event for digital marketers in Auckland, brought together by three organisations: the University of Auckland, New Zealand AI and Tech Marketing Group. Its programme paired cutting-edge academic research with working marketers, all on one question: how marketers adapt their practices and mindsets to thrive through digital transformation and AI. Three partners needed one identity they could all stand behind, and a website to carry it, on a tight timeline.

What we built.

We started with the brand: the mark, the colour and type, and a visual language that could run from a phone screen to a printed card. Then we carried it everywhere the event would be seen: posters and mockups for promotion, print for the room, and graphics for the screens. The website, built in Webflow, brought the programme together: the speakers, the sponsors, the schedule and registration, all in the same voice as the print.

The conference site on a laptop against black ribbing, its sponsors along the foot. Six speaker portraits in a grid on a blue gradient. Printed agenda cards on a pale surface, the afternoon sessions listed by time.

Built for the two days.

Every speaker got a page of their own, built from the CMS so the line-up could change right up to the event without anyone touching the layout. The schedule ran day by day, session by session, and the same information was set for print as agenda cards, so the website and the printed programme never disagreed.

The result.

A complete event identity, from the logo to the website to the printed programme, delivered in an eight-week sprint for three organisations with three sets of stakeholders. It is a good example of what we do best under time pressure: one system, designed once and applied everywhere.
