Fabit: a website that finally shows the work

  • 8 weeks

    from kickoff to launch

  • 16

pages designed and built, with new projects added through the CMS

  • 4

industry pages for architecture, interior design, construction and real estate

An image-first redesign aimed at architects, interior designers and high-end builders, and the first job enquiries through the site in a long time.

Where they started

Fabit is an Auckland photography and video production studio, and its work is the kind you have to see. The old website did not let anyone see it: too little imagery, and layouts that undersold the quality of every shoot. Real estate is their bread and butter, but those clients find Fabit on Instagram and rarely visit the website. So the website had a different job: win the clients Fabit wanted more of, architecture practices, interior designers and high-end construction firms, buyers who judge a studio by the work and by how it is presented.

What we built.

We designed the site the way architects and interior designers present their own work: editorial, image-first, with the projects leading every page and the copy stepping back. Each industry they serve got its own page, with enough depth to speak to that buyer and to rank for what they search. We built it in Webflow on Mast, a component-driven framework, with animations and interactions that move with the imagery instead of competing with it, and set up tracking so every booking enquiry is measured. From kickoff to launch took eight weeks.

What their team does now themselves.

New work goes live the way it should for a studio that shoots every week: a finished project is a new CMS entry, and the page builds itself around the imagery. We also built Claude skills for maintaining the site, so the team can update pages and add work by describing the change, on the same components the site was built from.

The result.

A website that finally shows what Fabit can do, built for a different kind of client. For the first time in a long time, Fabit is getting job enquiries through its website. With real content on the pages that matter, the site has started to show up in search for the work they want more of.
